Monoclonal antibody anti-human CD62 (P-selectin, GMP 140, PADGEM) (clone CRC81, IgG1 kappa fraction)
Specificity
Reacts with CD62 antigen (P-selectin, integral membrane sialoglycoprotein 140 kDa, GMP-140, granule membrane protein 140, PADGEM), which is expressed in platelet alpha granules that are translocated to the platelet surface upon activation with strong agonists. A similar protein, present in endothelial cell Weibel-Palade bodies, is transiently expressed on the surface of activated endothelial cells and functions as adhesion molecule for granulocytes. The antibody does not interfere with the functional activity of CD62 as an adhesion receptor for neutrophils
Preparation
Ammonium sulphate precipitation and DEAE-cellulose chromatography with gradient elution
Format
Purified and lyophilized. Contains azide and PBS. The azide concentration in reconstituted solution is 3 mM
Applications
Immunofluorescence (indirect). Detection of activated platelets. Recommended dilution x100
Reconstitution
Use 1 ml sterile pure water
Storage
Shipping at ambient temperature. Storage of lyophilized antibodies 2 years at -20°C or lower
