Mouse IgG1κ monoclonal antibody recognising a complex-dependent epitope of the platelet fibrinogen receptor GPIIb/IIIa (integrin αIIbβ3, CD41/CD61). It binds intact platelets but not dissociated GPIIb or GPIIIa, Glanzmann thrombasthenia platelets or the vitronectin receptor αVβ3. Purified IgG, lyophilised, 1 ml after reconstitution; for flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and immunoassays of platelets and megakaryocytes.
Specificity
Specific to platelet GPIIb/IIIa complex (alphaIIb/beta3-integrin). The antibody does not bind dissociated GPIIb or GPIIIa, platelets with Glanzmann thrombasthenia or vitronectin receptor
